A "widespread museum" where art collections intersect and expand throughout the city. Vicenza welcomes you on an intriguing itinerary that brings together the Pinacoteca di Palazzo Chiericati with the churches in the center, up to the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Monte Berico, patron saint whose feast is celebrated every year on 8th September.

Inside the Palladian Palazzo Chiericati you can experience a journey through splendid noble legacies and works from local churches, removed from their original places after the Napoleonic revolution. You will be fascinated by the beauty of the works of Giambattista Tiepolo, Jacopo Tintoretto, Giovanni Bellini, Anton Van Dyck and Hans Memling, just to name a few of the masters present in this museum. It will not be only the paintings that will enchant you: you will be able to discover over 50 autographed drawings by Andrea Palladio and about thirty terracottas by Orazio Marinali and workshop, unique pieces that can only be admired here.

Next stop, reachable in a few minutes on foot, is the former Dominican convent of Santa Corona. Inside, the archaeological and naturalistic museum of Vicenza offers the visitor riches from different eras, from the Paleolithic to the Roman Empire, recovered over years of excavations. Next to it, in the Gothic Cistercian Church of Santa Corona, you will find splendid inlays of marble and mother of pearl, as well as the wonderful "Battesimo di Gesù" by Giovanni Bellini.

From here continue to visit the other suggestive city churches. We start from the Cathedral, with its single large nave and its chapels, and then move on to the seventeenth-century pictorial cycles of the Chapels of the Zitelle and of San Nicola. You will also find evocative works of sacred art inside the Churches of Santo Stefano, San Marco, Sant'Agostino and the Carmini. Stop if you can also at the Church of San Felice, the oldest in Vicenza, where you can admire the remains of the ancient Benedictine abbey on which it was founded.

Last but not least, you have to finish with by reaching the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Monte Berico: the people of Vicenza are very devoted to her after her appearances to the peasant Vincenza Pasini. You will admire how. over the centuries, the church has been enriched with impressive works among which the majestic "Supper of San Gregorio Magno", painted by Paolo Veronese, stands out.
